Our Story While Kiwi Paint Solutions first location opened in 2009, our owner and founder — Paul Roberts — has been in the industry for much longer. Prior to his move to the U.S., Paul distributed products all across New Zealand, helping hundreds of shops find the proper equipment necessary to succeed in the industry. After officially moving to the U.S. in 2007, Paul distributed refinish products across Texas, and in St. Louis two years later. Paul recognized that he could use his wealth of knowledge to create his own business. On September 2009, he set out to distribute quality products on his own. The company was started out of a 1999 Mercury Cougar, providing mobile refinish products and supplies, driving from business to business meeting with shop owners. After 6 months of grit and determination, Paul opened his first Kiwi Paint facility in O’Fallon, MO.
